190505 Fresh Go (Convenience Store)

This store is just 10mins walk from Mstay 88 Studio. Quite well stocked up on some simple food.

Reasonable bread. Bought brioche for breakfast. Nice bread.
Cup noodles at about 1 pound each. Not bad. Taste like typical chinese soup noodles.

190506 Natural History Museum London

Located near to South Kensington Station and easily accessible in London. This highly recommended museum exceeded what I am expecting to see. Upon reaching the place, I was captured by the beauty of this building. Huge and made of ash orange yellowish brick (or concrete?), I can't take my eyes off the structure of this building.
Greeted by a big hall with a skeleton of a whale when we entered the building.  The crowd was huge but we do not feel it cause the place is big and able to contain all of us.
There are quite a few sections. This is the birds section.
The stones section
The Dinosaurs section.
There are other section like the human body, and sea creatures I think. We did not finish everything as it is a very big museum.

190506 Camden Town Market

Take a underground to Camden Town Station and you will be greeted to this big market. Plenty of shops selling all the souvenirs for tourist.
Walk further, you will come across a food junction where you can find food from different countries.

Unfortunately, this churros do not taste good. Very chewy and heavy. Cost us 3 pounds.

190505- Leon

Leon -  You see them almost everywhere near any underground station. I believe it is a fast food chain. Tried the outlet near Sherperd Bush underground Station.
Thai Curry and Kale salad with avocado and lentil. Not bad.

190505 Burger & Lobster

Recommended by all Singaporean friends. Must visit Burger & Lobster when we are in London. This huge lobster cost less than 25 pounds. So cheap.
Wanted to try the burger as I am allergic to lobster. However, server told us all food were prepared in the same area, so there will be cross contamination. Thus, he recommended me with this salad where it will be free from cross contamination.
So if you are allergic to lobster and wanted to join your friends to this place, better eat something before coming.

190503 Hengistbury Head

South of England -  Visitor centre address - Broadway, Bournemouth BH6 4EW, UK.
A beach where locals visit.

Its nothing much when I started to walk from the car park
When we get to the higher ground, we started to see the view.
The clift
At the middle of the hill, we see pond with yellow flowers. Spring time and nice to see all the small little flowers bloom.
The path that leads us to the other side of the park

When we reach the other end, we started to see the beach

Understand these beach huts are not cheap.
Clean, clear water. How I wish it is summer and I can swim here.
Walking back via another path, we see plenty of old trees. Beautiful trees.

Come across a lake

Grass or grass blossom?
This place is beautiful. We spent only 2 hours there and did not cover the walk for the whole beach. If I were to visit again, I would want to spend 5 hours there. So many to explore... like walking the whole beach, and walking under the clift. But .... I wonder where are the toilets. Maybe there will be a problem unless we don't drink water..... LOL

190502 London

Tower Bridge. A place mistaken for London Bridge. Our 1st stop or rater, must see in London in everybody's London list. We walk over the bridge and cross the river. Without entering the bridge, it is free to walk over.
The Shard. Can be seen almost every corner when you are walking along the Thames river near Borough Market. Understand we can pay a fee to visit the viewing gallery on the top level of Shard.

While walking towards Tower Bridge, do remember to stop and have a look opposite the river. The Walkie Talkie Building where the sky garden is located at the top floor. Look further, you can see London Tower
Take a tube and we can easily reach Buckingham Palace. We also passed by the 10 Downing Street, The West Minster Abby, where all withing walk-able distance.

A little walk and you will come across St James Park.
St James Park
Took a tube to Bayswater Underground to Queensway where the popular roast duck restaurant, Goldmine is.
Goldmine Restaurant where we eat our delicious roast meat.

190501 Bourton-on-the-Water, Cotsworld

According to Google Map : Bourton-on-the-Water is a village in the rural Cotswolds area of south central England. Straddling the River Windrush, it’s known for its low bridges and traditional stone houses. The Cotswold Motoring Museum features vintage cars and a toy collection. Birdland is home to species including parrots, owls and king penguins, plus life-size model dinosaurs. The Model Village is a 1930s scale replica of the village.
Perhaps its the big river with clear water that live up to its name.

The whole town seems to be submerge in these calm waters.

There are a couple of cafe if you like English cream tea. We have just got our lunch at Burford, so we gave it a miss.

190501 - Burford, Cotsworld

According to Google map - Burford is a small medieval town on the River Windrush in the Cotswold hills in West Oxfordshire district of Oxfordshire, England. It is often referred to as the 'gateway' to the Cotswolds. Burford is located 18 miles west of Oxford and 22 miles southeast of Cheltenham, about 2 miles from the Gloucestershire boundary.

It took almost 2 hours to drive from Salisbury to this beautiful Town.

Just this small stretch of road and it is nice to take a stroll here.

We have our lunch in this old Inn. Nice experience.

190427 to 1905510 - Food I ate in England

It was a long trip in England. 2 weeks in England and plenty of chances to try out food there. However, since we put up at my sis place...
